It was a beautiful hot, sweaty, muggy fall day...WAIT WHAT?! That's not how the story was supposed to unfold. But alas, mother nature had other plans. Fortunately, the clouds were so insanely surreal and we really lucked out with gorgeous light for the whole shoot. Edgewood Farm is where little Karmapants wandered through her youth. This land, combined with my parents impeccable decorating style, may JUST be the reason I became an artist. It's an inspiring place to be and I am not the only one who thinks this. 

Bitsy and Connor had assured me they would be super awkward ...and they were. Haha, yea I know, not nice. But the truth?! MOST people are awkward in front of the camera. So how do we get past this ...well, with jokes and sometimes with opening up to one another about our deepest and darkest times. OK so that doesn't usually happen but this time, it did. Connor told us a pretty emotional story of some really trying stuff he has gone through already at such a young age. I won't get into it, because, well, it's personal. Colin and I instantly felt bonded to this couple as they opened up to us. 

Because of all the truth bombs and misty eyed story telling, I knew that I had to get them into bed. Literally. I had them cuddle in my childhood bedroom. It was pretty amazing for all of us. I felt so connected to these two ..and for good reason, they are super real and very vulnerable. I think it comes through in the images from their shoot. I am so excited to be shooting this young couples wedding next year.
