A few months ...er maybe weeks before {(LOUISA + JOHN)} tied the knot we happened to be shooting their friends {(CARLY + GLENN)}'s wedding in which they were in attendance. Thanks God for that, because these two would have never had photos for their own marriage. {(JULIANNA + MAUTI)} were also at the same wedding and Julianna was like "These aren't my wedding photographers, they are my FRIENDS...you NEED to hire them!" Once again the Toscani Family Referrals, J + M ....strikes again!!! (Thank you to Kristin of Belmomento for hooking us up!) Ok, so fast forward a couple of weeks and Louisa is asking us to make the trek up to Happy Valley for a very intimate gathering of 40 people. YES. This sounds AMAZING.

On our way we stopped at Penn's Caverns...we always try to get a lay of the land when we do destination weddings. SO cool and in a way it's a natural marvel not TOO far from home. If you are ever in town, you should definitely check out Happy Valley Brewing Company. It's this 100 year old barn converted into a restaurant and bar downstairs. Holy Moly...this place reeks of character and delicious eats. All my rustic dreams were coming true this weekend. John NFL player gone mathematician + Louisa the writer = Super Intelligent Lovers. It also means that by nature, John was pretty impossible (meant in the most endearing way John, we love ya!) as far as posed pictures went, he was not having it. That's completely fine with us and our focus is always candid and documentary any way. So challenge accepted.W kept it light, candid and easy. Posed portraits were about 6 minutes and 37 seconds long. IMHO ....We killed it.

Guests gathered at The Rock Garden B&B overlooking the valley included Glenn and Carly. So great to see familiar faces so far from home. Another very important guest was Louisa + John's 4 month old baby girl, Joanna. Big fan of the name for so many reasons. Girl, you the real MVP. Loved focusing on this little one and all the lover surrounding her. As we teared up gazing at these two being married on the mountain by Louisa's sister, we thought, dang this is awesome. Our job is the coolest.
