So I believe we have shot at Hotel Du Village 4 times now in the last year and a half. Hotel is a lux French Chateau that sits on 12 acres with nothing but photo ops everywhere. This was going to be our first wedding there where the couple was getting married outside in front of two trees that had grown together. (Yes, I am grinning as I write this). Whenever someone contacts us and they are getting married at a Landmark Venue we instantly get excited. Everything about their venues are incredible. We know when we work there that not only will every single detail be impeccable but we get treated like the professionals that we are which just encourages the flow of creativity. 

Jennifer + Marc were referred to us by Megan + Peter (a gorgeous amazingly trusting couple that we photographed in Asbury, NJ a few years ago, that we really should blog now....just gorgeous!)...And when we talked with them, we knew, this is our client too. They already trust us, the love our vision and since Marc was at the wedding we shot, he experienced our hilarity. No really, we are hysterical.

SO, back to J + M. These two. They were so real and it truly felt like we were just there to solely document their day which seems obvious but it isn't...the client has to let go of control in order for this to happen. In this case, that took zero coaxing which is WHY, the images are just stunning. Another example of our people letting us do our thing yielding amazing results. (I think I just heard my own horn tooting, sorry, not sorry). 

One of my favorite things about this wedding was something Marc did for his girl. She stresses. A girl after my own anxious heart. So, what did the groom do? He wrote her these love notes that were meant to be opened throughout the day, reminding her that everything is fine. Each one hand written and completely different than the last. We LOVED this personal touch. Not only were they thoughtful and funny, but really really showed how Marc knows and cares for his woman. Impressive dude. Keep those shenanigans up guys and you are going to have an amazing life together.
